Due to the COVID-19 pandemics the general kick-off meeting of SEA-UNICORN had to be organized online. It was hosted and animated by the Action's Core Group, with the help of the Action's COST Science Officer.
It took place on December 4th 2020 and gathered 101 participants, from all 34 countries that had already agreed to join the Action at this date (Albania, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK + Algeria, Australia, Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, USA).
During the meeting, participants from all countries were reminded the objectives and structure of the Action, introduced to all Core Group members, presented with the agendas of the varied Working Groups and with the Work and Budget plan for the first Grant Period. they were also invited to partake in several rounds of informal discussions regarding the Action's internal procedures and the activities planned in the four Working groups.
